General Practice Policies and Information

Cancellation Policy
As a single practitioner running my own practice, I ask that clients give me at least 24 hours notice for all cancellations. If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or if a client simply fails to show up for their appointment, I ask that the cost of the missed appointment is paid in full before scheduling again.

Exceptions will be made for illness or emergency.

Covid-19 Guidelines
As a precaution against the spread of new variants of Covid-19, I continue to wear a mask during my sessions and use an air filter in the office. I also keep myself up to date with the latest Covid-19 vaccines.

I do not require clients to wear a mask during the session but they are welcome to do so. I can also provide a mask if you would feel more comfortable. Please be aware that other practitioners in the Skanner Building are operating under their own policies and I cannot guarantee others will be masked.

If you are showing symptoms of possible Covid-19 infection (sore throat, runny nose, cough, shortness of breath, fever) or other communicable illness, please cancel your appointment and we will reschedule for a later date. You will not be asked to pay a cancellation fee.

Gratuity
My rates are set to an amount that I feel is appropriate compensation for my services and is sustainable for my solo practice.

Some clients are more comfortable paying a gratuity in addition to the session rate. I will never say no to a tip from anyone who wishes but it is not an expectation and no client should feel obligated to add any gratuity to the session rate.

If clients find my work to be valuable, it is most important to me that they return so that I can continue helping.

Accessibility
My office is located on the second floor of the Skanner Building which requires ascending one central flight of stairs. I do have the ability to reserve space in an accessible room on the first floor for clients who have trouble with stairs. Please contact me directly to find an appointment time that will enable access to this room if you need to remain on the first floor. Not all appointment times will enable immediate access to the first floor space.
